Journey up north from Stung Treng to Preh Rumkel and Oh Svay. Explore the most beautiful part of the mighty Mekong with its large biodiversity ( Ramsar site ) as well as sample rural life and visit the fresh water Irrawaddy Dolphins by kayak. Survey the mighty Waterfalls that thwarted the grand designs of French imperialists, Kayak through the Flooded Forests of Ramsa Wetland. A chance for a shot visit Laos (Part of 4000islands, Don Khone).

Itinerary

Day 1
After keep your big back at our office. Bring your bag pack for two night  and free refills water ( Help Save the Environment… Eliminate Plastic Waste. ) The local minivan have many thing and many goods inside will pick up you at our Xplore-Asia office.Travel north by car full of the local experience transportation.  (approximately 2:or 3 hour)
take a cross the Mekong bridge turn right go straight all the forests along the way. your will be arrive Preh Rumkel Community around 3:00pm or 3:30pm. Our local guide from this Community will welcome to you.
Take you to find some home stay for keep your bag pack. Our local guide will take you to River where you can start the kayak paddle to xplore Aravady Dolphin by kayak .This time it is good time also to see them before sunset.

Day 2:
After breakfast we will board a boat and head up river to a rocky stretch of river distinguished by its deep water pools and numerous islands. Further up river, a powerful Mekong fall creates a natural barrier to fish movement and we will find numerous fish species in the region downriver from this. We will also have an opportunity to walk to this remote waterfall and visit a small fishing village traditional medicine that local people from village used for Malaria, Fever,Diarrhea, and water vine. Afterwards, we will continue by boat downstream to the Southern Tip of Laos Hang Khone (Part of 4000islands, Note: No Need Passport and Visa). Stop at the old French Ferry port and railway at Hang Khone. At was Indochina war French used for transfer equipment and boat also passed the Mekognfall. take a boat ride to Oh Svay at afternoon where is some part of Flooded Forests Ramsa Wedland.
Start the kayak trip from Ou Svay, kayak through the flooded forests a Ramsar Wetlands which supports a large variety of birds along the river. Enjoy the remoteness of the area feeling completely at one with nature. Once you began kayaking, the scenery is immediately dramatic and shows many large trees sticking out of the water with their roots grown into the direction of the Mekong currents. The small islands appear everywhere around. Take the motor long tail boat return Oh-Svay where you will spend another night Home stay.

Day 3:

After breakfast the local minivan will pick up you transfer to Cambodia-Laos border. If your trip go to Laos or return back Stung Treng and you can continue your trip to another province at after noon like Banlung, Kra Tie, Phnom Penh, Preh Vihea, Seim Reap….

Approx Kayaking Distance: 5km to 10km and 1.5 hours hiking
